Psychotic patients behave out of norm. From their thoughts to their speech, gestures, actions, fashion sense, as well as their choice of food.
Ten months in psychiatry, I’ve come across psychotic patients who presented with a strange sense of appetite:

Flowers
Nails
Toothpicks
Paper
Staples
Coins
Rubbish – fresh from the rubbish bin
Human faeces
Human urine
